If you consider to be a creative person who is charmed by the art of manual crafting, then we gladly invite you to be part of our wool mask felting workshop, powered by SEWA.
You have most likely already heard about wool and its many uses. First, you may have thought about clothes, hats, or gloves. Then maybe about insulations. But for those who do not know yet, the first method used to process wool was felting. The untwisted wool, with a cotton-like appearance, in different chromatic variations is especially used in this ancestral technique.
Cristina Frânculescu, graduate of the University of Arts Cluj, will guide you through every step, making sure that each participant, from the curious and energetic child to the experienced and patient senior, will learn the technique of felting by creating their own wool mask with traditional motifs. Additionally, we will make sure that all the necessary materials will be available to you.
